Portland's new west elm store...underwhelms

So I was supposed to be shopping for an Anniversary gift at lunchtime today, but the new west elm store just opened up across from Whole Foods in the Pearl District. (Warning...do not visit the store any time soon unless you really like crowds). I was already familiar with west elm from their catalog, and they're basically just a more upscale version of IKEA. I was glad to see that they're big into lavender and other colors of silk bedding (that's how I remade our bedroom last summer), and Asian-inspired, square tableware (I've had a similar set for about 5 years now). Nothing too earth-shattering here.
